Destinations
Sri Lanka is small enough that you can see a lot in two weeks, and varied enough that you probably shouldn't try. Here's how we think about the regions, and the places we send people to most.
Six regions, one loop.
Most trips we design are variations of the same rough shape — Colombo in, up through the cultural triangle, down through the hills, along the south coast, and back. Two weeks does it comfortably. Ten days does it well if you\'re willing to skip a stop.
The north and east are their own trips, best paired with a longer stay or a return visit. Distances look small on the map; the roads are winding, so we plan generously and stop often.
The regions, briefly.

Season, in a paragraph.
Dec – Mar
South & west coast
Peak season. Sunny, dry, and busy. Book early.
May – Sep
East coast & north
The east dries out. Trincomalee and the north are at their best.
Year-round
Culture & hills
The interior works most of the year. Bring a jumper for the hills.

Fewer visitors, some rain, good value. Our favourites for a first visit.
